On yesterday’s episode, John won over daily winner Klee Anne Ortiz. Although the judges fell in love with Klee Anne’s voice, John managed to exceed the judges’ expectations. Tawag Ng Tanghalan Aug 25 performances, daily winner, and champion First contender, Grace Alade. Grace is a jack of all trades from Rizal. She plays basketball, competes for swimming, dancing, and singing. Thanks to her mom and dad’s uber talented genes, she becomes a better sporty singer singing “Better Days” by Dianne Reeves. Smooth as silk as she belted out those tunes to Dianne Reeves’ hit. Judge Kayla said Grace was indeed graceful on stage. She liked everything about her and said she was sassy and full of attitude. She was so comfortable to listen to and her voice came out so naturally says Kayla. Judge Jaya, on the other hand, said everything about grace was just A+ and everything was just perfect. Second contender, Mary Ann Sangilan. Mary Ann from Cebu never stops fighting for her family the way she never stops fighting for her dream. Mary comes from a family of singers. Even her husband is a singer as well. Mary Ann works as a “manikurista” while her partner, a painter by day and habal habal driver by night. She sang 1960’s hit, “You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me” by Dusty Springfield taking on Lani Misalucha’s version. Judge Rey Valera said Mary Ann and the first contender had something in common. They both did a great job and both were very honest on stage with their performance. Third contender, MJ Plana. MJ is a singer from Agusan del Sur. He studies social work and is part of the Manobo Tribe. His heart is to help the community. With a unique look, he sang “Pusong Ligaw” by Jericho Rosales. Judge Karylle said MJ had a very cinematic voice which is fit for movie soundtracks. There were parts where it was a but shake’y but did a good job pulling through. Judge K Brosas called him cool and said his voice was cool, too. She agreed to say there were pitch’y moments but liked how he fought till the end. TNT Aug 25 daily winner, face-off, and champion. TNT Aug 25 daily winner winning with an average score of 93.2 percent is Grace Alade. For the face-off, Grace sang “The Greatest Love of All” while defending chmapion John Raymundo sang “Babe” by Air Supply.
