Tawag Ng Tanghalan

POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG RECAP: Happy 1st of December gang! Christmas is just right around the corner. On yesterday’s episode, Froilan Canlas won over daily winner Geoff Tañales with an average score of 94.6 percent. On this episode, Froilan faced a challenging contender who might over throw him as defending champion. This is what you missed.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan December 1 Contenders

First contender on stage was 49-year-old Ronaldo “Baldo” Navarro. Ronaldo is an orphan who didn’t have a permanent home and family for 15 years. He’s had four families in those years and he is thankful for each one of them. He now has a family of his own. Ronaldo sang “Hard To Say I’m Sorry.” Hurado Mitoy said he liked Ronaldo’s husky voice. Louie Ocampo said, “Ang galing mo! Gustong gusto ko yung boses mo.” Fans on TNT online say Ronaldo had a ‘Sam Mangubat vibe.’

Next contender on stage was Twinkle RAmirez from Leyte. Twinkle had her first child when she was 18 years old. She has been joining amateur singing contests. Twinke sang “Hinanakit” hoping to win the competition. Hurado Rey Valera said her Twinkle’s voice was very powerful. He also said although she was here, her mind was somewhere else. It could be because of her kids.

Last contestant on stage was Czaira Angela David. Czaira is a “miracle baby” because she was sickly when she was young. Czaira also dreams to become a beauty queen and “artista.” Czaira sang “Broken Vow” by Josh Groban. Unfortunately, Hurado Rey Valera signaled for the gong. Rey said Czaira wasn’t able to hit her low and high notes. Hurado Kyla said she lacked breath control. Czaira is now disqualified from the show.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Thursday Daily Winner

Thursday daily winner is ‘Sam Mangubat ka-vibe’ Baldo Navarro garnering an average score of 92.8 percent. Baldo sang “There’s No Easy Way” to battle defending champion Froilan Canlas. This will be a tough one since both have the same genre in music.

Froilan sang “Dahil Sayo” showcasing his falsetto voice all throughout the song. It’s Baldo’s suave high note vs Froilan’s falsetto. So who won?

Froilan Canlas still won the battle with an average score of 95.6 percent. That was a super close fight! Hurado and hosts asked Baldo to try again since he was also really good.
