Tawag Ng Tanghalan December 29 Performances

First challenger on stage was ‘kolehiya-lava-voice’ Lhanli Cagay from Caloocan City. Lhanli is an architecture student and is now on her fifth year. Her parents weren’t able to finish school but they were able to put Lhanlu through college at a good university. Her mother owns a canteen and her father is a foreman. She sang “Tila” by Lani Misalucha hoping to win and give back to her parents. Hurado Erik Santos noticed Lhanli was nervous and that affected her notes most especially her low register notes.

Next contender was 39-year-old Jun Abadiez from Cebu. Jun used to be a tricycle driver but since he lost his tricycle he became a stand up comedian with his cousin. This supports his wife and five kids. Jun sang “Balatkayo” by Anthony Castelo to hopefully win the judges hearts and give his family a better life.

Last challenger was Emil James Alingas from Zamboanga del Norte. This 31-year-old is a singer for events. If he doesn’t have gigs, he sells beauty products to support his family. “Ngayon at Kailanman” by Basil Valdez is the song he chose hoping to make an impression on the judges. Hurado K Brosas said she was mesmerized by his performance because of his tone quality and and style. Hurado Louie bets Emil will make it for the challenge round.
