Froilan Canlas Wins Dec 6 Battle

POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG: On yesterday’s episode, two contenders were automatically disqualified from the show. Hurado Rey Valera signaled for the gong for both performances. The only contender left was Joven Torredes. In this episode, Froilan Canlas battles new contenders and fights for another win.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan December 6 Performances

Jerrica Mingoa from Quezon City was the first contender on stage. This 18-year-old is studying to become an interior designer. Jerrica loves watching Korean dramas. She sang “Fly me to the Moon” by Frank Sinatra. Jerrica is a scholar because she sings for the choir of her school. Hurado Rey Valera seemed to enjoy her performance. He was dancing to the beat of the song. What does Rey think of her performance really?

Hurado Kyla said Jerrica’s voice was a “breath of fresh air” but agreed to Hurado Karylle that it lacked a bit of power. Hurado Rey said she wasn’t able to hit some of her notes.

Next contender on stage was 17-year-old Arnold Badana from Cebu. Arnold’s parents separated. He and his 7 other siblings live together with his mother. His mother used to sell home cooked food but had to stop because it didn’t do so well. Arnold is now doing his best in school to have a better future. He hopes to win the contest to help his family financially. Arnold sang “Mula sa Puso” showcasing his high and low notes.

Hurado Rey Valera said he’s voice and stance on stage was good. Rey said he was able to feel his angst and pain while he sang.

The last contender on stage was Joselito Gamul from Zamboanga del Norte. This 33-year-old fisherman had to put love aside to become the family’s bread winner. His mother became blind since he was 12 years old. Since then, he has assumed responsibility for both his parents. Joselito sang “Di na Ako Aasa Pa” hoping to make it as today’s daily winner.

Hurado Jaya said he had good song choice and liked his voice. Her only advice was to become more relaxed. Erik Santos said his notes were on point and he liked his breathing and phrasing.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan December 6 Champion, Tuesday Daily Winner

Tuesday daily winner is Arnold Badana with an average score of 91.6 percent. For the one on one battle, Arnold sang “May Bukas Pa” by Rico Jay Puno. To battle daily winner, semi finalist and defending champion Froilan Canlas sang “Walang Hanggang Paalam” by Joey Ayala. So who won this battle?

Froilan Canlas remains to be Tawag Ng Tanghalan’s defending champion garnering an average score of 94.4 percent. Friolan now has P 185,000.
