Tawag Ng Tanghalan Dec 7 Episode: Froilan Canlas Grabs 8th Win

POPOCORN TIME LIVE BLOG RECAP: On yesterday’s episode, Semi finalist and defending champion Froilan Canlas got his 7th win. Semi finalist Sam Mangubat also had seven wins on the show before his title was taken by Rommel Callao on November 28. Today, Froilan Canlas battles new contenders. Will he break Sam Mangubat’s seven wins?

Tawag Ng Tanghalan December 7 Performances

First contender on stage was 55-year-old Noel Eneria from Makati. Noel is the bread winner of his family. He has survived Angioplasty and psoriasis in the past with the help of his family who gave him strength. Noel sang “Unchained Melody.” He hopes to win the competition to rise from all the hardships he has gone through. Hurado Louie Ocampo said Noel is the perfect example of what TNT contenders should be. He was very relaxed on stage, not arrogant and enjoyed every part of it. Hurado Kyla said Noel showed power and put color and dimension on each note.

Bayani Nalasa was next on stage. This 44-year-old security guard has two children with his first partner and four children with his current partner. Bayani has been working as a security guard since 1997. He sang “Sa Diyos Lamang” by Sampaguita. He wishes to win the competition to provide for his family. Hurado Rey Valera he was too stiff on stage but he had a good voice and he hit the notes of his song.

The last contender on stage was Merrychan Saman from Zamboanga. Merrychan is a student, who hopes to finish her Bachelors in Education, English as her major. She sang “Till I Met You” for the judges. If she wins she would like to help her mother raise what she needs for school. Hurado K Brosas said her voice was sweet from the get go but was a bit strained towards the middle.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan December 7 Champion, Wednesday Daily Winner

Among the three contestants, Noel Eneria was declared Wednesday daily winner with an average score of 90.8 percent. Noel sang “People” by Barbra Streisand for the one-on-one battle round.

Froilan Canlas Grabs 8th Win,

Froilan Canlas sang “May Pag-ibig Pa kaya?” by South Border hoping to get another win. If Froilan wins today’s battle, he becomes a hall of famer beating Sam Mangubat’s 7-time win.Semi finalist and defending champion Froilan Canlas wins P 210,000 for his 8th win today. If he grabs two more wins he becomes a Hall Of Famer for Tawag Ng Tanghalan sa Showtime.
