Adelene fought for her fifth win which hopefully would put her to the semi-finals. Hurado Yeng Constantino consoled the young singer and told her she has more opportunities and that she could come back. Today, online senstations Roland “Bunot” Abante fights for his second win. Jex was a four-time defending in December. Unfortunately, he was beaten by Philip Mancol. Since then, he’s had more gigs and has been busy singing for different events. His friends encouraged him to join Tawag Ng Tanghalan again. Jex sang “There’s No Easy Way To Break Somebody’s Heart” by James Ingram, hoping to get another chance. Hurado Billy said he liked Jex’s voice tone and said he deserved to be on the show. The hurados seemed to enjoy Jex’s performance as they gave him a standing ovation after his performance. Mary Rose is a single mom of two. She recently had the chance to continue her studies and is now a first-year secondary education college student. At the same time, Mary works as a singer in bars to sustain her and her two children. Mary sang Shirley Bassey’s “Never, Never, Never.” Punong hurado Rey Valera said he was impressed on how Mary conveyed the song through her voice and her technique. Last contender was Cris Vallente, 24, from Surigao del Norte. Cris lives with his partner of three years and their two kids. He provides for his family through joining singing contests and working as a gardener on some days. Cris comes from a family of singers. He joined Tawag Ng Tangahalan singing “I’m All Out Of Love” hoping to grab that win and buy his family a house. “I like you very much” said hurado Nyoy and said Cris’ technique was good and called his voice unique. Tawag Ng Tanghalan Feb 7 Champion After all three contenders gave their performances, it was down to one daily winner. Tuesday winner is Jex De Castro garnering an average score of 92.4 percent. This is his second time to win as daily winner. Will he beat defending champion Roland “Bunot” Abante? For the battle round, Jex sang “Ikaw Ang Aking Pangarap” by Martin Nievera, fighting to replace Roland Abante as defending champion. Roland on the other hand sang Bryan Adam’s hit, “Please Forgive Me.” The hurados have made their decision, today’s champion is Jex De Castro winning an average score of 93.8 percent. This is Jex’s second time to win as defending champion since December last year. Will he complete his fifth win soon?
