Tawag Ng Tanghalan Jan 12 Performances First contender on stage was ‘resbaker’ Hadiya Ladip from Taguig. This twenty-nine year old mountaineer joined TNT before and she remembered Hurado Karla calling her voice unique. Hadiya said she comes back stronger and chose to sang Minnie Riperton’s “Lovin’ You” doing her best hitting that signature vocal riff. The most beautiful part of the song was when she did her own vocal riffs for the song says Hurado Karylle but hoped Hadiya chose a song that was more comfortable for her. Hurado Mitoy called her “matapang” because of her song choice which he called “risky.” Pampanga singer Cresmon Padera was the next to impress the judges. Cresmon is a singer at a casino. He went abroad as a band vocalist and used what he earned to put up a house for his parents and his four other siblings. Cresmon sees himself as the breadwinner of his family. He joined TNT because of his dream to become a famous singer. Cresmon chose a song that showcased his rocker vibe, Air Supply’s “Now and Forever.” There were no flat or sharp notes whatsoever says Hurado Rey Valera, he also liked Cresmon’s voice and how easily he reaches high notes. Last challenger of the day was ‘resbaker’ Desiree Balugay from Zamboanga City. She is taking education and majors in MAPEH. Twenty-three-year-old Desiree comes back showing the judges what she learned from her last performance on the TNT stage as she takes the stage and sang “I Believe” by American Idol, Fantasia. Hurado Kyla saw how determined and confident Desiree was but because of that, she forgot how to give more finesse and accuracy to the song. Desiree’s performance was good says Hurado Nyoy but also agreed with points stated by Hurado Kyla.
