Chelsea is the only girl and the last child among three siblings. Her mom is a stay-at-home mom and her dad is a Barangay Kagawad. Her dad is also a singer. Chelsea is just fourteen years old and a Grade 9 student. At her young age, she dreams of becoming like Sarah Geronimo one day. Chelsea sang “You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me.” Showmanship was very evident and Chelsea has a beautiful voice says Karylle. Hurado Billy thinks her song choice is a bit too mature for her age. Forty-Four-year-old Wilfredo Llumpera from Leyte was the next challenger. Wilfredo is a part time tricycle driver and part time barber with two kids. His eldest had to stop school for the meantime, but his second child is now first year college. Wilfredo and his wife now manage a sari sari store to provide for their two kids. He also joins singing contests and now joins Tawag Ng Tanghalan for his kids. Wilfredo sang “Hanggang sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan.” TV host Amy and Vhong were both so impressed with Wilfredo’s voice. Punong hurado Ogie says the power was there but because of this, he had some sharp notes. Last challenger of the day was Glenn Ralph Pada. Glenn is from Zamboanga and is nineteen years old. He is a second year student taking up Physical Education but got sidetracked because of his ‘barkada.’ But for him, new year means new life. He now looks for a job and is inspired by his mother who is working abroad. Glenn sang hurado Kyla’s song “Hanggang Ngayon” hoping to make is as today’s daily winner. Hurado Kyla, the original singer of the song, said she was flattered Glenn chose one of her songs. She didn’t however like the fact that his performance was a bit staged but it was a great performance.
