Jensen Kyra of Paranaque was first to impress the judges. Jensen joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan in September. Unfortunately, now semi-finalist Yumee Capile beat her during the face off. The show has opened a lot of opportunities for Jensen. She got a lot of emails offering support for her charity, an orphanage in Makati.

For today’s show, she sang “I’ll be There” hoping to get a second chance. Her beauty and singing voice was noticeable said Erik Santos. However he said Jensen was a bit pitch-y in the first verse but it was great she was able to gave her own version.

Next contender was 16-year-old Julia Faith Joaquin. This resbaker from Bohol joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan in August and was able to steal the ‘golden mikorpono’ from then defending champion, Tatay Antonio. After a day, the title was grabbed by another contender. Since then, Julia became more popular in school and was called to be a judge for some singing contests. Julia sang Shirley Bassey’s “Hey Big Spender.”

Hurado Rey Valera noticed performers today were really good. He liked her voice and how clear Julia’s intonation was. Her vocal riffs from a low note to high note however wasn’t really that great.

Last contender was Clarisse Jane Rabino from General Santos city. Clarisse’s parents separated and her mother wasn’t able to support her education. Since then, she quit school and became a band vocalist. She also helps her mom sell fish crackers, rice crispies and chicharon to sustain their daily needs. Clarisse dreams of performing at the Araneta Coliseum with the big names of the singing industry. She chose to sing “What About Love” by Heart showcasing her rocker vibe.

Hurado Karylle liked her voice but felt Clarisse was holding back but enjoyed her performance. Karylle encouraged her to go for her dream. A bit lazy in the first part says Hurado Nyoy Volante but was able to make a come back towards the end of the song.
