Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 10 Live Blog: Jovany Satera Goes For Seventh Win

POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG: Defending champion now semi-finalist Jovany Satera is now on to his seventh win. On Saturday, Jovany beat daily winner Zyrra Lynn Saboy with an average score of 95 percent. He sang Frauline by Bobby Helms showing off his yodeling skills. Will Jovany get his seventh win today? Better question is will he become a TNT Hall of Famer?

First contender, Lynoel Limpin. Noel’s long time dream is to put up his own coffee shop. This IT consultant from Metro Manila started singing when he was just 6 years old. His dad taught him how to sing and his uncle taught him how to play the guitar. He dreams of putting all of these together and use his talent to make it happen. He takes the stage singing “Di Bale Nalang” by Gary Valenciano.

Judge Yeng enjoyed Noel’s performance. She loved the tone of his voice but song choice was an issue. Judge Karylle liked his performance as well but challenged him to work harder to capture her heart.

Second contender, Larry Marmol. Larry is not giving up on his dream and definitely not giving up on his mom who’s sick. Despite the fact that he is also diabetic, he makes sure his mom comes first. Larry once joined TNT in 1987 and became a defending champion but after a week lost the title. Since then, he hasn’t joined any singing contest and chose to work instead. His health and his mom’s health don’t stop him from reaching his dreams. He now takes the stage singing “Magsimula Ka” by Leo Valdez.

Judge Rey Valera liked Larry’s performance. Timing was good, the transition was good and he welcomed him back on the TNT stage.

Third contender, Gwen Rea Nacionales. Gwen from Antique sang “And I Am Telling You” by Jennifer Hudson hoping to make it for her family. Gwen is a grade 10 student and dreams of becoming a nurse someday. She hopes to take care of her family whenever they get sick.  Grade 10 nurse, take care of family, electrician saudi, helps mom parlor, pagaaral and buy TV

“Your voice in incredible,” says Ogie Alcasid. He added Gwen was really, really good and had a wide range wide range. Pronunciation was a bit of an issue but otherwise good job. Judge Kayla said the song was very risky but was still able to give a good performance.

TNT July 10 daily winner, face-off, and champion. Monday winner is Larry Marmol garnering an average score of 92.4 percent.

For the face-off, Larry sang “Mahawi Man Ang Ulap” by Sharon Cuneta. Six-time defending champion Jovany Satera sang “Only You” by The Platters.

The judges have decided. Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 10 champion is Larry Marmol winning with an average score of 92.6 percent. This is Larry’s first win which ends Jovany Satera’s six win. Jovany will be back for the semi-finals.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan airs Mondays to Saturdays on ABS-CBN on It’s Showtime at noon.
