POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG/RECAP: On Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 11 episode, new defending champion Larry Marmol fights for his second win. Larry beat six-time defending champion now semi-finalist Jovany Satera on yesterday’s episode. Jovany was close to becoming a TNT hall of famer. First contender, Robert Estefanio. Robert wants to give back to his parents who sacrificed everything for him. He wants to make sure he takes care of his father who has diabetes and his mom who has difficulty with breathing. Robert works as an administrative assistant on weekdays, and technical crew during weekends. Through his day jobs, he was able to give an amount to his parents for a small business. He wants to do more for them by joining TNT singing “Light Of A Million Mornings.”

Judge Jaya loved how Robert was able to communicate the emotion of the song and how she was touched by his performance. Judge Yeng, on the other hand, said he really was a story teller and proved that well in his performance.

Second contender, Viopette Castrodes. Viopette from Bohol is a single mom but has multiple jobs. She’s a member of a dance crew who performs for events, a choreographer for teachers and students, a make-up artist, and a band vocalist. She’s performed abroad but now freelances in the Philippines. Viopette sings “Ang Buhay Ko” by Asin hoping to fulfill her dream to become a famous singer and give a better future for her daughter.

Head Judge Gary Valenciano says what Viopette did on stage was an inspiration for people in her community. She showed much confidence and was impressed by her voice and performance.

Third contender, Richard Su-ip. Richard is an ice cream man from North Cotabato. If he wins today’s competition, he will surely buy himself an ice cream machine. But for now, he wakes up early in the morning to crush ice and mix his ice cream manually. All this for his family. With Rico Jay Puno, Martin Nievera, Rey Valera, and Nonoy Zuniga as influences, he now takes the stage singing “Doon Lang” hoping to give his family a better life.

Entertainment value was so high says judge Kayla. He loved Richard’s performance and called him charming.

TNT July 11 daily winner, face-off, and champion. Garnering an average score of 89.6 percent, TNT July 11 daily winner is Viopette Castrodes from Bohol.

For the face-off, Viopette sang “Nosi Balasi” by Sampaguita while defending champion Larry Marmol sang “Nakapagtataka” by Apo Hiking Society. Who wins this face-off?
