Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 21 Performances, daily winner, and champion

First contender, Baby Anne Franco. Baby Anne from Valenzuela City joined TNT in October 2016 but didn’t make it. She used the consolation prize for her tuition since she was a graduating student at that time. That and selling burgers outside her home made her graduate. Now, she works as an accountant for a big company. Baby is doing well for herself in her career. Now she thinks she has unfinished business and wants to try TNT for the second time and reach her dream of becoming a famous singer someday. Baby sang “Don’t Cry Out Loud.”

Judge Karylle loves Baby Anne’s confidence on stage as well as her wide ranged voice. Her only comment was to work more on her pronunciation. Judge K Brosas, on the other hand, said she liked her style and called it a great performance.

Second contender, Jessie Badua. Bird keeper from Subic tries his luck joining TNT singing “One Last Cry” by Brian McKnight. Since he was a kid, his tito would teach him how to sing. Now, he gets inspired by how the birds sing to him at work everyday. When Jessie started, it was a but obvious that jitters took the best of him. Unfortunately, Judge Rey Valera counted three times and had to signal for the gong.

Head judge Rey said shifting from his normal voice to falsetto was a bit tricky for Jessie. He said he should use this defeat to fuel him to do better next time. Jessie is automatically disqualified from the competition.

Third contender, Alfie Navasca. Alfie will do anything for his family. Every morning he brings his kids to school. He then works as a construction worker and if he still has time he takes his habal habal around. This father from Cebu just finished elementary school and has been joining amateur singing contests since he was 14. He sang “Suddenly” by Billy Ocean hoping that he would reach his dream of becoming a famous singer and give his family a better life.

Judge Yeng said she was indeed affected by Alfie’s performance. She commended him on how he was able to relay the message of the song to the audience. Judge Ogie seconded Yeng’s comment and added he loved his deep cool voice. Although it was a bt pitch-y, he was able to give a good performance.

TNT July 21 daily winner, face-off, and champion. Two contenders and now down to one. Today’s daily winner is contender from Luzon Baby Anne Franco winning with an average score of 91.2 percent.

Daily winner Baby Anne sang Jordin Sparks’ “This is My Now.” Three-time defending champion Aila Santos took on Whitney Houston and sang “I Have Nothing.” Who wins this battle?

The judges have come to a decision. Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 21 champion garnering an average score of 95 percent is Aila Santos. This is Aila’s fourth win on the show. One more win and this takes her to the semi-finals.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan airs Mondays to Saturdays on ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime at noon.
