Tawag ng Tanghalan July 25 Performances, daily winner, and champion

First contender, Darlyn Bueno. This pink haired singer contender from Metro Manila sang “Killing Me Softly” for her performance. She took on a different version of The Fugees and gave her own touch to the song. While Darlyn was giving her performance, the judges were in on a discussion.

“I like your style and your fire while singing on stage,” says judge Jaya. The only thing was that Darlyn was too on fire that the judges noticed she was doing too many adlibs. But all in all, a great performance. Judge K Brosas agreed with Jaya and liked how she gave her own flavor to the song. She also commented on how she finished the song saying it was too much of an adlib.

Second contender, Rica Janelle Maniago. Rica from Pampanga took on Lani Misalucha and sang one of her hits, “Tila.” She dreams of becoming a famous singer like her idol, Darren Espanto. Rica was bullied for her weight once before but when they heard her sing, they turned from bashers to likers.

Head judge Rey Valera said he liked Rica’s voice but said she needed more practice when it came to shifting her normal voice to falsetto voice. Other than that, he was satisfied with her performance and wished her luck.

Third contender, Charlie Sumalinog. Charlie was on the TNT stage once before in May 2016. He didn’t make it due to an operation which affected his performance. Now, he comes back stronger singing “Pagbigyang Muli” by Erik Santos. Charlie is a material planner for a company in Cebu and there is nothing that will stop him from reaching his dreams.

Judge Nyoy Volante said the song Charlie sang was a bit difficult. He saw he had difficulty in his breathing when he was performing which he understood. But, the judges saw he gave a good performance. Judge Karylle also said he needed time to recover more from his operation but still said he did a good job.

TNT July 25 daily winner, face-off, and champion. Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 25 Tuesday winner garnering an average score of 91 percent is Charlie Sumalinog.

For the face-off, Charlie sang Erik Santos’ version of “This Is The Moment.” Six-time defending champion Aila Santos sang “What About Love” by Heart. A standing ovation by all the judges for Aila as soon as she sang her last note.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 25 champion is Aila Santos winning with an average score of 95.4 percent. This is Aila’s seventh win. Three more and Aila becomes a TNT Hall Of Famer.
