POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG: On Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 3 episode, two-time defending champion Manny Lucas fights for his third win. Manny won over daily winner Hazel Joy Paredes on Saturday’s episode. He got his second win and is now ready to take on today’s daily winner. Will Manny make it on today’s episode?

TNT July 3 Performances, daily winner, and champion

First contender, Ma. Wendielhynne Bartiso. Wendielhynne from Metro Manila is the big sister in the family. She takes care of her 3 younger brothers while her father works in his daytime job and her mom works in Lebanon. Wendie dreams of becoming a civil engineer someday. Meanwhile, she makes one of her mother’s dream a reality taking the stage of TNT singing “Isang Lahi.” Wendie was able to make it through a few lines but moments after, Judge Rey Valera signaled for the gong.

Judge Yeng and Jaya thought Wendie did have a good voice. But because she was too nervous, she wasn’t able to execute her notes well. Unfortunately, Wendhie is automatically disqualified from the show.

Second contender, Jan Sean Cabong. Jan comes from a large family with eight other siblings. He recently graduated BS Fisheries but now takes the stage singing “Ikaw Lamang” by Gary Valenciano. He and his older brother usually join singing contests to help out in the family. His mom is a retired policeman while his mom is a stay-at-home mom.

Judge Rey Valera loved Jan’s performance overall except for a note towards the end. He commended him for his confidence on stage and wished him luck in case he makes it today.

Third contender, Jovany Satera. Jovany, also known as DJ James Durian in Mindanao, brings his voice from the radio to TV. He is known for giving love advice on the airwaves for his avid listeners. When it comes to singing, his parents taught him since he was five. Jovany also is a composer and now uses his talent to make songs for commercial jingles and more. For today’s performance, he sang “Delilah” by Tom Jones showcasing his deep voice and added a few dance moves as well.

Judge Nyoy Volante said there were a lot of elements in Jovany’s performance which makes him a complete entertainer. He called him smart chosing the best key for his voice.

TNT July 3 daily winner, face-off, and champion. Who is today’s daily winner? Garnering an average score of 94 percent, daily winner is contender from Mindanao Jovany Satera. 

For the face-off, daily winner Jovany Satera took on Larry Graham singing “One In A Million You” while two-time defending champion Manny Lucas sang “Say That You Love Me” by Martin Nievera. Who wins this face-off?

Winning an average score of 92 percent, contender moving on is new defending champion Jovany Satera.
