On TNT Saturday’s episode, July 28, Lalainne won over Saturday daily winner Janahfe Menguito. Janahfe sang “Wala Nang Wakas,” while defending champion Lalainne sang “One Moment In Time.” It was a close fight but the judges think Lalainne was still worthy of the golden microphone. On Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 31 episode, Lalainne fights for her fourth win. Will she get that win today? Let’s find out. Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 31 Performances, daily winner, and champion First contender, Regene Ong. Regene is a freelance fitness instructor from Quezon City. She’s also a band vocalist who does her own make up and outfits. Although her band takes on songs from 1940s to 1950s, Regene sang Alanis Morisette’s “You Oughta Know” for today’s show. Their family runs a business and her parents wanted her to take over for them but Regene chose to pursue her singing career. Joining TNT brings her a step closer to her dream of becoming a well known singer in the PH. Judge Jaya loved Regene’s fighting spirit and said called her performance a calm riot. It was rock but she sang with such calmness of spirit. Judge K Brosas agreed with Jaya but said she was a bit distracted by too much body movement. K Brosas added she would be a good addition to the semi-finals because of her rocker vibe. Second contender, Erika Cedilla. Since Erika graduated from elementary, she knew she was different. She came out as a lesbian and got nothing but love and support from her parents. Her dad is a pastor while her mom is a stay-at-home mom. Erika is a band vocalist and has worked in Dubai. Now that she’s in the Philippines, she hopes that joining TNT would jump start her singing career. All she wants is to give back to the her parents. Erika took the stage singing “Ika’y Mahal Pa Rin.” Judge Louie Ocampo loved Erika’s voice range, look and attitude. Everything about her performance was just great. Third contender, Kristian Nikko Geangan. Krisitan is singing teacher from Bohol. He teaches Araling Panlipunan and sees to it that he makes it interesting for his students just as much as how he makes his singing interesting as well. Kristian feels blessed that he was able to finish his studies despite the fact that he had six other siblings. He thanks his parents for that and he hopes that joining TNT singing “Hanggang Kailan” would be a step for him to give back to his parents. It seems the ladies in the audience love Kristian so much. It could be because of his looks or his performance. Either way, the audience loved him. Judge Karylle said Kristian had the making of a balladeer. Judge Jed said he had a good voice but noticed he was too nervous. He should learn how to relax and learn to control his breathing more. TNT July 31 daily winner, face-off, and champion. With an average score of 93.4 percent, daily winner is Erika “Akie” Cedilla from Luzon. Akie belted out that low register voice she had and sang “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” by Michael Bolton. Three-time defending champion Lalainne Araña, on the other hand, took on Lani Misalucha and sang “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.” Who wins this battle?
