On Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 6 episode, Jovany fights for his fourth win. He is now two steps closer to making it as TNT’s semi-finalist. Will he move a step closer to reaching that today?
TNT July 6 Performances, daily winner, and champion
First contender, Justine Jose. Justine from Tondo comes from a family of singers and fights to fulfill a promise to her grandmother who passed away. She joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan back in the day alongside Nora Aunor. He sang “Be My Lady” hoping to continue his grandmother’s journey on TNT.
“Very nice voice quality,” says judge Karylle and said Justine just needed to work on more connection with the audience. Judge Erik Santos agrees with Karylle saying Justine had good low and high registers. Vocal riffs were also impressive but lacked a bit of emotion.
Second contender, Lucas Nikko Garcia. Batangas bet Lucas represents singers of the LGBT community. By day, Lucas is a tourism student and by night he joins singing contests. This is how he helps out in the family. Lucas’ mom is all out supportive of her son saying he is beautiful inside out. For today’s performance, Lucas sang “Ikaw Lang Ang Aking Mahal” by Brownman Revival giving it all he’s got.
Head judge Gary Valenciano was asked to comment on Lucas’ performance. He said Lucas wasn’t on stage just to impress. He liked his voice quality and control and was pleased to see Lucas’ confidence on stage. Gary said he was truly impressed.
Third contender, Xerxes Cachopero. Xerxes is the future recording artist of Iloilo. He started singing when he was still a kid and thanks to his mom, he was pushed to sing better. Xerxes worked as a seaman and has traveled to Asia, Europe, and Africa. But he now takes the stage singing “Truth” by Bamboo like a pro.
Judge Mitoy said Xerxes was very entertaining and he was impressed by how clean his notes were throughout his performance. Judge Ogie Alcasid checked the criteria for judging and said none of it mattered because he just enjoyed Xerxes performance. Good job Xerxes!
TNT July 6 daily winner, face-off, and champion. Thankfully no one got the gong today. So who is today’s daily winner? With an average score of 93.4 percent, Thursday winner is Xerxes Cachopero.
“Hiling” by Jay-R Siaboc was Xerxes’ song for the face-off. Safe to say, his previous performance gave a better impression. Will it be enough to beat three-time defending champion Jovany Satera? Jovany, on the other hand, sang Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Quando Quando Quando.”
Tawag Ng Tanghalan July 6 champion with an average score of 93.4 percent is Jovany Satera. This is Jovany’s fourth win. One more and he becomes TNT’s next semi-finalist.
