This three-time defending champion is now on to his fourth win on Tawag Ng Tanghalan June 15 episode. On yesterday’s episode, John performed the iconic song “Hello” by Adele which earned him a 97.2 percent score. He beat daily winner Ariel Talion from Luzon. This also takes him closer to becoming the first semi-finalist of Tawag Ng Tanghalan Season 2 Regular Edition. Click here to read a recap of yesterday’s episode. Will John Mark get his fourth win today? TNT June 15 Performances, face-off, daily winner, and champion First contender, Nino Bertos. Everyone has a second chance in life. This is Nino’s philosophy in life. Nino had a difficult time in his early years even until he got married. But when they had his first daughter his life changed. He now works as a utility technician at a music school. He decides to try the TNT stage and sang “Heaven Knows” for the ladies in his life. His wife, and two daughters. Nino sang with heart but was a bit too nervous. Unfortunately, Judge Rey signaled for the gong. Judge Rey Valera said he tried to give Nino a chance until he reached the chorus but still decided to signal for the gong. Judge Karylle gave him a second chance by allowing him to sing the chorus for the audience one more time. Erik Santos said Nino had good voice quality. He gave him an advice on how to execute his notes well most especially his falsetto voice. Unfortunately, Nino is automatically disqualified from the show. Second contender, Kriscia Isla Apuya. Singing is not just Isla’s dream, it’s the dream of her father who passed away when she was just 9 years old. It was her father who taught her how to sing although her mother also used to be in a band too. Isla’s mom now takes care of her and her 2 other siblings. This singer from Cebu is a scholar at the University of the Visayas. Her talent is what is putting her through school for four years now. Isla fights for a spot on TNT singing “Promise Me.” Judge Rey Valera was asking Isla to fight for her dream and show the judges that this is really her dream. Third contender, Jeffrey Mapiot. Jeffrey joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan for his kids. He has always loved singing ever since he was young. He joins school events but doesn’t usually join contests not until he was married. Jeffrey is a market vendor and sells re-packed pepper, salt and others. This singer from Davao Del Sur sang “Ala-ala Mo” by White Lies hoping to make it on today’s show. Jeffrey was able pull through up until the second to the last note. Before he could end with his last note, Judge Rey Valera signaled for the gong. Judge Rey Valera explained he also felt bad that he had to signal for the gong right before Jeffrey’s last note. Rey said the pitch of the song was a bit too high for him and was struggling through the song. Judge Ogie and Mitoy, on the other hand, said Jeffrey had a good voice. They didn’t expect Rey to signal the gong and advised Jeffrey to just go on and practice more. Unfortunately, Jeffrey is also automatically disqualified. TNT June 15 daily winner, face-off, and champion. Since contender from Manila and Mindanao are out, Kriscia Isla Apuya automatically wins as Thursday daily winner. She will be facing 3-time defending champion John Mark Saga who is on to his fourth win. For the face-off, Isla sang “I Love You Goodbye” by Celine Dion while John Mark sang “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin” by Lani Misalucha. The judges have made a decision. Today’s champion garnering an average score of 96.2 percent is– John Mark Saga. This is John Mark’s fourth win. On more win and he becomes the first TNT semi-finalist for TNT Season 2 Regular edition.
