Tawag Ng Tanghalan June 27 Live Blog: Alfredo Relatado On To Fourth Win

POPCORN TIME LVE BLOG/RECAP: On Tawag Ng Tangahalan June 27 episode, 3-time defending champion Alred Relatado fights for his fourth win. With just two more wins, Alfred might just be the next semi-finalist to make it to TNT’s second season regular edition. Mon Monday, June 26, Alfred got his third win beating daily winner Benjamin Pedrera with an average score of 96 percent singing “The Last Waltz.” Will Alfred succeed in getting his fourth win today?

TNT performances, daily winner, and champion

First contender, Rea Gen Villareal. Nineteen-year-old Rea from Caloocan is used to joining singing contests. It all changed when she got pregnant. She makes a comeback joining TNT singing “You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me.” She fights for a better future for her and her family.

Judge Kayla saw Rea’s confidence on stage which just proved that she was used to being on stage. Judge Yeng, on the other hand, said
being too relaxed was a bit a disadvantage for her. Yeng wanted a bit more and said she thinks she has more to offer.

Second contender, Julius Cawaling. Julius from Cavite became a band vocalist and breadwinner at the age of 18. He and his band do music not just for themselves but for a charity for kids. Whatever his band earns, a portion of it goes to school kids’ toiletries, books, school supplies and more. Education for other kids and family is his motivation. He sang “Lately” by Stevie Wonder which impressed not only the audience but most especially the judges. His performances put all the judges on their feet right after his last note.

Judge Rey called Julius’ vocal riffs and notes sophisticated. He didn’t know where Julius would take the song which made it more interesting.

Third contender, Ricky Conserman. Singer and sugarcane worker from Negros Occidental Ricky doesn’t have his own family but is a father figure to his nephews. Ricky has been working in a sugar cane farm since he was 14 years old. He joins TNT for all workers like him who have a dream. Ricky sang “Kahit Ako Ay Lupa” by Basil Valdez.

Judge Jed Madela said Ricky was a good story teller. He was able to communicate with the audience well but said he had to work a bit more on clarity.

TNT daily winner, face-off, and champion. Tuesday daily winner garnering an average score of 97.2 percent is Julius Cawaling.

For the face-off, Julius sang “Narito” by Gary Valenciano with everything he’s got. Rey Valera gave a nod as Julius hit those high notes. He and the judges seem to enjoy his performance. “This Is My Song” by Petula Clark was Alfred Relatado’s piece for today. Both singers gave impressive performances but there can only be one champion. Another tough decision for the judges.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan June 27 champion with an average score of 95.6 percent is– Alred Relatado. Daily winner Julius got a score of 94.8 percent. Another close fight. This is Alfred’s fourth win. One more and he makes it to the semi-finals.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan airs Mondays to Saturdays on It’s Showtime at noon.
