TNT June 28 performances, daily winner, and champion First contender, Pauline Paranada. One more year and Pauline finally graduates. This singer from Metro Manila channeled Karen Carpenter singing “Love Me For What I Am.” She joins TNT motivated by the love for her family hoping that her win could her her support her younger sister. She dedicates her performance to three of the most important people in her life. Her mother, tita, and grandmother who passed away in 2016 due to a heart failure. Judge Ogie liked Pauline’s voice texture and quality but mentioned there were instances when Pauline’s notes went flat or sharp. He advised Pauline to be more aware of her notes next time. Second contender, Rosalyn Mejica. Rosalyn is a third year HRM student. The same course her parents took back in the day. Unfortunately, both of Rosalyn’s parents didn’t finish college. She hopes that she would be able to finish in behalf of her mom and dad. Aside from cooking, Rosalyn is also an entertainer. She failed many times and she stood up each time as well. Taking the TNT stage singing “Ikaw Ang Aking Pangarap” is another way for Rosalyn to pick herself up from those many times she’s failed as an entertainer. Judge Rey Valera thought at first Rosalyn was just sad when she was performing but realized that she has something called musical maturity. She didn’t sing carelessly trying too hard to bring out a powerful voice but was very careful to express just the emotion of the song. Third contender, Planton Canete. Planton from Cebu works 3 jobs in a week. In the morning, he works as a traffic enforcer. In the afternoon he is a trycicle driver. Twice a week, he serves as a tanod for his barangay. All these jobs to support his family most especially his grandchildren. Planton sang “Kahit Isang Saglit” showcasing his deep powerful voice. Judge K Brosas loved Planton’s deep voice and just commented a bit on how he interpreted the emotion of the song saying he was a bit happy for a sad song. Judge Kayla disagreed with K Brosas saying she felt every bit of emotion that Planton gave while singing his song. TNT June 28 daily winner, face-off, and champion.
