POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG/RECAP: On Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids April 10 episode, 4-time defending champion Shaina Allaga fights for her fifth win. Winning today’s competition would take her to the semi-finals. On Saturday, Shaina beat aspiring teacher and daily winner Allysa Diane Ili of Luzon. Will Shaina get her fifth win today? On a side note, Vice Ganda celebrated her birthday with the TNT gang on April 8.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids April 10 Performances, John sings Dingdong Avanzado hit

First on stage was 10-year-old John Agda from Makati City. John likes building things but his passion and dream aside from becoming a singer is to become a doctor. His mom has goiter and his dad also has some health issues. He dreams of being able to help them both. John sang “Basta’t Kasama Kita” by Dingdong Avanzado.

Judge Karylle commented on John’s performance saying his style was “sticky” meaning it has recall and allows him to connect with his audience well. First thing that judge Nyoy noticed was that he was able to adjust well with the song when it came to its key.

Andrey channels Sarah Geronimo

Andrey Escorpizo from Cavite was next on stage. Andrey’s parents separated when he was very young. Life was hard for Andrey and his mom so he had to stop school when he was just eight years old. He and his mom makes ref towels and sells them for extra income. Andrey sang Sarah Geronimo’s version of “Very Special Love.”

Judge Louie loves Andrey’s fighting spirit shich made him likable. He also likened Andrey to “The Voice Philippines” judge bamboo. Judge Louie called him the ideal contender who fights withour fear.

Keeana Sings Fly Me To The Moon

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids is the first contest 12-year-old Keeana Sularte has ever joined. Aside from singing, Keena loves reading and drawing. She leaves with her mom and brother while her father lives and works in Alaska. Keena sang “Fly Me To The Moon” for today’s competition.

Judge Kyla liked how Keeana’s voice fit her song really well. She advised her to have a little more fun while performing. Judge Jed Madela noticed how charming and spontaneous she was which were personalities he thinks would make her different in the industry.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids April 10 Winner

It is down to one. Today’s daily winner is John Agda getting an average score of 91 percent. John will face 4-time-defending champion Shaina Allaga as she fights for her fifth win.

For the face off, John sang “The Journey” by Lea Salonga. Shaina, on the other hand, sang “Natatawa Ako” by Gabriella. Who wins this battle.

The judges have decided, today’s winner with an average score of 92.8 percent is — Shaina Mae Allaga. Shaina is now the fourth finalist to make it to the semi-finals. Shaina joins semi-finalists Jhon Clyd Talili, Sheena Belarmino, and Macky Empuerto.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan airs Mondays to Saturdays on ABS-CBN at noon.
