Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids April 18 Episode: Reign Basa Goes For 2nd Win

POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG: On Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids April 18 episode, defending champion Reign Basa goes for her second win. This 12-year-old contender beat ex-defending champion Nicoh Muñoz who was fighting for his second win. Reign won him over with an average score of 94.8 percent singing, “I Believe” by Fantasia. 1sr Contender, Von Ivan Pedrajas sings Carol Banawa hit

First contender is aspiring veterenarian Von Ivan Pedrajas from Quezon City. This 9-year-old pet lover has five cats and five dogs. Von and his other siblings were raised by a single mom, who taught him how to sing and dance. Von sang “Iingatan Ka” by Carol Banawa.

Judge Karylle liked how Von showed some of his fun and young side despite the song being a bit sad in nature. She also said she loved his high notes. Judge Erik Santos, on the other hand, said he saw how positive his aura was which made him cofident and said it was one of his strengths.

2nd Contender, Kristina sings Try Everything

Second contender was Kristina Belle Balagosa from Cebu City. Kristina grew up with her grandmother since her mom works in Bohol. She loves learning new things and is very fluent in English at the age of 7. Kristina sang “Try Everything” by Shakira.

Judge Louie found her cute and adorable and advised Kristina to smile more and continue to sing and practice which will make her better and better as time goes by.

3rd Contender, Clarince sings Leo Valdez Hit

Last contender was 12-year-old Clarince Malinao from Davao. Clarince is the son of a tricycle driver. He joins amateur singing contests back home and at some point battles his father is some contests. Clarince looks up to singers like Gary V and Rico Jay Puno. For today’s performance, Calrince sang “Magsimula Ka” by Leo Valdez.

Judge Jaya liked Clarince’s stance and his performance overall. She noticed how confident he was on stage and how his experience in joining contests paid off.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids April 18 Winner

Daily winner getting an average score of 91.6 percent is none other than contender from Metro Manila, Von Ivan Pedrajas. Von battles defending champion Reign Courthney Basa who now fights for her second win.

For the battles, Von sang “Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin” bringing the pitch of the song a notch higher towards the middle of the song. Defending champion Reign sang “Maghintay Ka Lamang.” Just when the audience thought she gave it her all, she surprised everyone bringing the song to another level hitting those hight notes towards the end.

It was a tough one. After much thought, the judges have decided. Today’s winner who got an average score of 94.6 percent is– Reign Basa. This is Reign’s second win on the show.
