Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids April 27 Performances

First Contender, John Carlo Tan: Ten-year-old John Carlo Tan from Tondo, Manila was first to take the stage. John has three other siblings and he is the third. His dad is a computer technician while his mom stays home looking after them. John loves singing but is also a good rapper.

For his performance, John sang Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid’s version of “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Jed Madela recognized John from previous auditions he’s judged in. He said he had the vocal clarity and the heart whenever he performs.

Second Contender, Eunica Parcasio: Next was Eunica Parcasio from Tarlac. This nine-year-old is a fan of riding bikes apart from, of course, singing. Eunica’s dad works in Olongapo and comes home just twice in a month. If she wins, she would like to use what she earns for school and become a doctor someday. For her performance, Eunica sang Yeng Constantino’s hit, “Ikaw.”

Head judge Ogie Alcasid said Eunica sang with much heart. She loved how she sang a song written by Yeng Constantino saying Yeng is one of Philippines’ greatest songwriters.

Third Contender, John Vincent Olila: Ten-year-old John Vincent Olila from Cebu was the last contender of the day. John belongs to a very good community who help each other. He joins TNT for every neighbor who has extended help to him and his family singing “These Dreams” by Heart.

Judge K Brosas said John had an interesting song choice and was surprised to hear John sing a different version of it. K Brosas noticed John was holding back a bit and had more to offer. Judge Karylle liked John’s performance but said he had to put more emotion and groove to the song.

Defending champion vs Daily winner: Today’s daily winner is contender from Metro Manila, John Carlo Tan, getting an average score of 91.6 percent. “And I Am Telling You” by Jennifer Hudson was John’s song for the battles. Defending champion Quin Masongsong, on the other hand, sang “I Was Here” by Beyonce.

TNT Kids Winner April 27: After the battles, the judges have decided. Today’s winner garnering an average score of 91.8 percent is John Carlo Tan. John will be fighting for his second win tomorrow. Tawag Ng Tanghalan airs Mondays to Saturdays on ABS-CBN at noon.
