Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids April 28 Performances

First Contender, Yasmin “Hafsa” Isra. Twelve-year-old Hafsa is the eldest in her family. Her mom is a distributor of beauty products. While her mom is away, she takes care of her younger siblings. Aside from singing, she loves acting. Today, Hafsa sang a hit by Asin, “Usok.”

Judge Nyoy liked how much in character Hafsa was during her performance and called her entertaining. Judge Jolina Magdangal, on the other hand, said she had a rocker vibe to her voice which matched her song choice.

Second Contender, Michaela Monica Valle. Michaela Monica Valle from Cebu was next on stage. Michaela and her family are in the business of selling meat in the market. They also have a farm where they raise pigs and other animals. Michaela loves drawing and above all, singing. She performed “Bituing Walang Ningning” by Sharon Cuneta for today’s contest.

Judge Ogie Alcasid saud Michaela had very good breathing. He advised her to do more vocalization to further develop her voice and soon get that vibrato.

Third Contender, Queenie Torremocha. Eight-year-old Queenie Torremocha from Davao was the last to take the stage. Queenie has been singing since she was 4 years old. She takes after her mom who used to join amateur singing contests when she was younger. “Dito Ba” by Kuh Ledesma was Queenie’s piece for today.

Judge Billy Crawford said Queenie was a really good singer. She hit the notes well and said she has the inner ear that allows her to sing the notes with precision. Judge Kayla thanked Queenie for her performance which made the judges very happy. Vibrato, voice quality, and texture were her strengths says Kayla.

TNT Kids April 28 winner: Garnering an average score of 91.2 percent, Friday winner is Queenie Torremocha. For the battles, Queenie took on the Celine Dion hit, “I’m Your Lady.” Defending champion John Carlo Tan, on the other hand, sang “Ngayon” by Basil Valdez.

It was an interesting face-off between an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old. It was down to one winner. The judges have decided, today’s winner garnering an average score of 93.2 percent is– John Carlo Tan. This is John’s second win on the show. Three more and he makes it to the semi-finals.
