Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids April 7 Performances, Kaizel channels Christina Aguilera

Kaizel Pascua from Pasig City was first on stage. If not singing, Kaizel loves riding her bike with her father. This 10-year-old also enjoys watching videos of Little Mix and hopes to become as good as them someday. Kaizel ang “The Voice Within” by Christina Aguilera.

Judge Jolina was tasked to comment on Kaizel’s performance. Jolina said Kaizel’s voice was powerful most especially when she hit those notes. Her low notes however, needs a bit more practice. Judge Yeng, on the other hand, said she had a lot of time to figure out what genre suits her best but so far she saw how strong and confident she was.

Mickhaela Navarrete sings Ted Ito hit

Nine-year-old Mikhaela Navarrete was next to impress the judges. Mikhaela binges on chicken and tocino when she has the chance. She loves eating just as she loves singing. Mikhaela sang “Maghintay Ka Lamang” for today’s performance.

Head judge Ogie Alcasid said Mikhaela was able to tell a story through her performance. All in all, Ogie said she did a great job.

Alessandra Matkins Sings How Great Thou Art

Filipino American 11-year-old Alessandra Matkins from Cebu was the last contender of the day. Sandy grew up in the States but her parents decided to settle here in the Philippines. In her stay, she has come to love Filipino food. Sandy loves singing while playing the piano and loves composing her own songs. If not singing, she helps women inmates She sang “How Great Thou Art.”

Judge Billy said it was a bold move for Sandy to sing a worship song and said it was refreshing and added she did a good job. Judge Nyoy said her performance was well executed and how well she sang with such conviction. “You’re gonna go places” said Nyoy.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids April 7 Winner

Three kid contenders gave it their all but there can only be one daily winner. Today’s daily winner is Mikhaela Navarrete. For the battles, Mikhaela sang “Stand Up For Love” by Destinys Child. Two-time defending champion Shaina Allaga, on the other hand, sang “Girl On Fire” by Alicia Keys.

After the battles, the judges have decided. Today’s winner getting an average score of 94.6 percent is– Shaina Mae Allaga. This is Shaina’s third win on the show. Two more and she’s in for the semi-finals.
