Marielle graced the stage of Tawag Ng Tanghalan and sang “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion.

On yesterday’s Tawag Ng Tanghalan episode, Grand finalist Carl Mmotecido graced the stage of TNT. He shared his experience getting into the grand finals and life after Tawag Ng Tanghalan. Click here to read a recap of yesterday’s episode.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids March 17, Young Composer Wyllian Sings Yeng Constantino hit

Wyllian Heart Salvador from Muntinlupa was first on stage. This 11-year-old started taking piano lessons and already writes tagalog songs. Wyllian helps her parents in their hardware shop and now joins Tawag Ng Tanghalan making them her inspiration. She sang Yeng Constantino’s hit, “Salamat.”

Original singer and composer of “Salamat,” Yeng, said she sees herself in Heart. They both started at almost the same age and they both have the support of their parents. Yeng advised her to continue to improve but said she did a great job today. Judge Jaya also saw her confidence and said she’s got more time to harness the skills she already has.

Kate Franceska From Rizal Sings

Ten-year-old Kate Franceska Campo from Rizal was next on stage. Kate is raised by a single mom. She grew up with her grandparents since her mom had to work. Singing is not her mom’s field so her aunt would help and train her since she was three years old. Since then, Kate would join singing contests which allowed her to buy her own tab. First investment!

Kate performed “Hulog Ng Langit” by Donna Cruz and sang like she was beyond her age. Her effortless and powerful voice seemed to impress Ogie and Nyoy who were obviously in awe of her. Head judge Ogie said her voice seemed to come from an older singer and said it was deep yet angelic.

Jay Rome Sevillejo Sings Martin Nievera Hit

Contender from Negros Oriental Jay Rome Sevillejo was the last contender. This 10-year-old is not like any other kid nowadays. He helps out with household chores and spends his extra time playing tag with his friends. No phones and no tabs. Jay sang “Ikaw Ang Aking Pangarap” by Marin Nievera written by Ogie Alcasid. He sang with so much emotion and was spot on with every note.

Judge Ogie was nodding throughout Jay’s presentation. Karylle liked Jay’s stage presence and how he well he executed his high notes. Judge Nyoy loved the fact that Jay chose a song that had the authentic “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” theme. He added Jay’s voice was really meant for contests like this.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan March 17 Winner

Four-time defending champion Jhon Clyd Talili could be the first semi-finalist of “Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids.” He now sings to hopefully get him that fifth win. Jhon sang “Narito Ako” giving it all he’s got.

Today’s winner garnering an average score of 95.8 percent is– Jhon Clyd Talili. Jhon is now a legit “Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids” semi-finalist.

On a side note, Anne Curtis was true to her word when she said she would give Jhon and his family a TV. Jhon was in tears when Anne gave the TV right after they announced the winner for today.
