Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids May 11 Performances

First contender, Krista Lois Mesina. Kiddie contender Krista from Caloocan is a dreamer and achiever. She hopes to give her family the house they’ve been dreaming of with a music studio, 3 bedrooms, and a big kitchen for her mom. This 11-year-old sang Beyonce’s
Stand Up For Love” hoping to win the title, daily winner.

Krista’s song was powerful and had a strong message says Judge Karylle. She said Krista should have chosen a song that would showcase her sweet voice rather than a song that demanded too much power. Judge Jed agreed with Karylle and advised her to experiment more on songs that would fit her voice.

Second contender, Yesha Lois Quinianola. Yesha from Laguna dedicates her performance to her inspiration, her mom. Yesha’s mom was a vocalist once before and she has since been coaching her daughter in singing. She takes the stage singing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” hoping to beat two other contenders and be today’s daily winner.

Judge Ogie commender Yesha for doing her best despite having colds and cough and said it was a challenging thing to do. Ogie heard how powerful her voice was but advised her to work on her phrasing which affects the meaning of the song.

Third contender, Francis Concepcion. Ten-year-old Francis from Zamboanga was the next on stage. Francis helps out in the family business of selling goods in the market. He now takes the stage of TNT hoping to be the next daily winner singing “Alone.”

Entertaining and charming were the two words judge Nyoy used to describe Francis’ performance. He added that he was just limited by his age and that more experience would make him better. Judge Jolina said his voice was powerful and was happy that he had the heart to help his family.

TNT Kids May 11 battle and winner. Three kiddie contenders gave their all to become today’s daily winner but only one can battle defending champion Clyde Vance Lomotos. Thursday winner with an average score of 95 percent is contender from Mindanao, Francis Concepcion.

For the face-off, daily winner Francis sang Sia’s “Chandelier” while defending champion Clyde sang “Cold Water.” It’s Thursday winner vs defending champion. Today’s winner garnering an average score of 96.2 percent is–Francis Concepcion.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids airs Mondays to Saturdays on ABS-CBN at noon.
