Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids May 17 Performance, Daily Winner, And Champion

Firs contender, Pristine Mae Flores. Pristine is 11-year-old kiddie contender from Malabon City. She spends most of her time with her dad since her mom works and is out most of the time. It is Pristine’s dad who teaches her how to sing. Her parents only have one dream, for her to finish school. “And I Telling You” by Jennifer Hudson was Pristine’s song for today.

Judge Karylle loved Pristine’s crystal clear voice but wasn’t so sure about her song choice. She advised Pristine to explore more on songs that are more appropriate for her age. Judge Jed Madela, on the other hand, agreed with Karylle on song choice but loved her performance and confidence.

Second contender, Christian James Chua. Seven-year-old kiddie contender from Imus, Cavite, loves calligraphy and drawing but not as much as he loves singing. CJ’s mom works far away so this 7-year-old has been living with his grandparents since he was six months old. He sang “One Moment In Time” by Whitney Houston hoping to impress the judges.

Judge Yeng described his voice as pure, raw, and loved the fact that he had the passion for singing.

Third contender, Elaisha Cabonila. Kiddie contender from Bohol is seven-year-old Elaisha. Elaisha loves ice cream and playing basketball. She is part of the church choir and now takes the stage singing “Someone’s Waiting For You.” She dedicates her performance to her mom, dad, and family.

Judge Nyoy Volante liked Elaisha’s song which gave a positive vibe. He called her performance pleasant and sweet and said, “You made my day.” Judge Jolina agreed with Nyoy and said she was very pleased with Elaisha’s performance.

Fourth contender, Kurt Laput. Eleven-year-old contender from Misamis Occidental, Kurt, dreams of becoming a singing policeman someday. He is inpsired by the life of his father who works as a jail guard. At school, he is always the one being sent to join singing contests.
“This Is the Moment” was Kurt’s song for today.

TNT Kids May 17, new defending champion. Out of the four contenders, one proved to be best than the rest. Kiddie contender getting an average score of 95.6 percent and new defending champion is none other than– Kurt Arvie Laput. 

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids airs Mondays to Saturdays on ABS-CBN at noon.
