POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG/RECAP: Tawag Ng Tanghalan March 13 episode marks the first day of Tawag Ng Tanghalan’s Kids edition. Auditions started on Dec. 4 last year and today, viewers will get to see the first ever contenders of Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids.
Tawag Ng Tanghalan on Saturday was a historic day. The Top 6 battled head to head for the title Tawag Ng Tanghalan Grand Champion. Novel Belleza, Froilan Canlas, Carl Malone Montecido, Sam Mangubat, Pauline Agupitan and Marielle Montellano sang their heart out during the Grand Finals. Noven Belleza nabbed the title by a land slide garnering a total score of 99.96 percent. Click here to read a recap of Saturday’s episode.
Tawag Ng Tanghalan March 13 Performances
First on stage was Lordy Louie Gilado from Las Pinas. Lordy is Grade 3 and looks up to Bon Jovi as his musical influence. He was just 5 years old when his mom found out that he can carry a tune. This 9-year-old bring out his rocker vibe and sang You Give Love A Bad Name by his idol.
Hurado Erik Santos thought he was watching a concert. At a young age, Lordy was able to exude strong stage presence and said he had a future in the entertainment industry. Confidence was one thing that hurado Louie Ocampo saw in Lordy.
Eleven-year-old Ramil Dale Delos Reyes from Gapan Nueva Ecija was next to impress the judges. Ramil would put his younger sister to sleep by singing and that’s when his mother knew he could sing. He was nine at that time. Ramil go awards for singing and dancing in school. Now, he performs for a larger audience singing a Jackson 5 hit, I’ll Be There.
Hurado Jaya said, “good job.” His performance entertained her and the audience. Jaya also noticed how his experience worked for him and also loved how Ramil was such a good kuya to his younger sibling and saw him as a very industrious person.
Genmarie Guiao from Dumaguete was next. Since she was 4 years old, Gen was one to grab the microphone whenever people around her would perform. Her mother said Gen is a bit shy but once she sings, she becomes a totally different person and even calls her astig. Gen sang Thank You For The Music by ABBA.
Hurado Karla loves Gen’s performance and says she sees a bright future for her in the industry.
Last contender was 10-year-old contender from Surigao Del Sur, John Clyde Talili. He loves taking care of his younger siblings most especially helping them in their homework. John’s father taught him how to sing and now, he makes him proud singing Hesus.
The judges seem to enjoy his performance as John sang each note clearly and precisely.
TNT Kids March 13 Winner, defending Champion
Garnering an average score of 97.4 percent, the first ever defending champion of Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids is– John Clyde Talili. John Clyde will we back on the show to keep his title.
Tawag Ng Tanghalan airs Mondays to Fridays on ABS-CBN at noon.
