Tawag Ng Tanghalan Nov 26 Episode Recap: Sam Mangubat’s 7th Win

Semi-grand finalist and defending champion Sam Mangubat got his 7th win on Tawag Ng Tanghalan episode on Saturday, November 26. Sam won over Saturday daily winner Eva Bataluna with an average score of 93.6 percent. Sam’s winning piece was “Breakeven” by The Script.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan November 26 Performances

First contender on stage was 24-year-old Arra Jane Lariza from Valenzuela City. Arra is an IT Business Analyst. She broke up with her boyfriend of 6 years. Arra is moving on and showing herself stronger as she gives the best performance on stage. Arra sang “Let’s Get Loud” by Jennifer Lopez. Hurado Karylle and Kyla said they liked her stage presence and advised Arra to choose a contest piece next time to showcase her voice and talent.

Next contender was Jessmar Acosta. Jessmar is 30 years old. On weekdays, he maintains computers at the city hall of Negros Occidental. On Sundays, he sings at church. If he wins, he wants to help with the maintenance of his mom for diabetes. Jessmar sang “Wildflower.” Unfortunately, Hurado Rey Valera signaled for the gong. Hurady Rey said Jessmar was mostly flat and wasn’t able to hit the notes. Jessmar is automatically disqualified from the contest.

Last contender on stage was 23-year-old Eva Bataluna from Zamboanga Del Norte. Eva’s mom passed away when she was young and her father left her at a young age as well. She grew up with her ‘tita’ and grandmother. She joins amateur contests to help her family financially. Eva sang “Because of You” by Kelly Clarkson. Hurado Erik said he liked her voice tone and confidence on stage. He noticed she had flat notes in her song. Hurado Valera said Eva sounded like international singer, Cher. Hurado Jaya said she needs to practice on her breathing.

Saturday daily winner is Eva Bataluna with an average score of 88.8 percent. Eva sang “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” during the battle round. Semi-Grandfinalist and defending champion Sam Mangubat sang “Breakeven” by The Script to battle daily winner Eva.

Sam Mangubat won over daily winner Eva Bataluna with an average of 93.6 percent. This is Sam’s 7th win on the show.
