Tawag Ng Tanghalan Nov 28 Episode: New Defending Champion Rommel Collao

POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG RECAP: Semi-grand finalist Sam Mangubat got his 7th win on the show on Tawag Ng Tanghalan on Saturday. On this episode, Sam gave the mic and title to a new defending champion, Rommel Collao from Mindanao.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan November 28 Performances

It’s Showtime opened with a Mannequin Challenge participated by the audience and staff in the studio with a special appearance from ABS-CBN Chief Content Officer, Ms. Charo Santos.

First contender was 26-year-old Kieffer Grande from Quezon City. Kieffer is a ‘resbaker’ who joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan in July. Last time he didn’t make it, but was thankful to Tawag Ng Tanghalan. Kieffer was reunited with his cousins and family because of his exposure on the show. He sang “Lately” by Stevie Wonder. Hurado Billy Crawford and Yeng liked his voice but advised Kieffer to choose the right key so he can reach notes of his songs better.

Next contender on stage was Raffy Remoiriata from Negros Occidental. Raffy sells fried chicken and pork and earns about a few hundred pesos only. He is a father to a 6-year-old but they haven’t been together for a long time. Raffy sang “Pagsubok” and hopes to make his daughter proud. Hurado Rey Valera was inspired by his story and wished him luck.

Last contender was Rommel Collao from Bukidnon. Rommel is a ‘habal-habal’ driver and father of two. Rommel sang “Suddenly” by Billy Ocean. Hurado Erik Santos said he liked Rommel’s baritone voice. Hurado KBrosas like his ‘swag’ and adlib to the song and gave a ‘new flavor’ to an old hit.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Monday Daily Winner, #ShowtimeMmmmmonday

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Monday daily winner is Rommel Collao with an average score of 93.4 percent. Rommel sang “Sweet Dreams” by Air Supply to battle defending champion Sam Mangubat. Sam sang “This I Promise You” by ‘N Sync.

Rommel Collao is Tawag Ng Tanghalan’s new defending champion garnering an average score of 94.6 percent.
