Tawag Ng Tanghalan Nov 29 Episode: New Defending Champion Froilan Canlas

POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG: On yesterday’s episode of Tawag Ng Tanghalan, semi-grandfinalist Sam Mangubat gave the microphone and ‘defending champion’ title to Rommel Collao. On this episode, Rommel gave the title to daily winner Froilan Canlas just after a day.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan November 29 Performances

First contender on stage was 19-year-old Romylyn Garcia from Quezon City. Romylyn comes from a family of singers. Her father is a tricycle driver. This is their primary source of living. Romylyn’s father was able to put her brothers and sisters through college because of it. Romylyn sang “Tonight I Give In” by Angela Bofill. Hurado Jaya said she noticed Romylyn was nervous from the get go. Jaya also said Romylyn was lucky Hurado Rey didn’t signal for the gong.

Next contender on stage was Froilan Canlas from Bulacan. He is a music teacher at a music school in Bulacan. Froilan also teaches basketball to young people in his brangay. He sang “And I Love You So” by Don McLean. Hurado Rey Valera said he had tenderness in his version. His voice and style was a mix of Josh Groban and Justin Timberlake.

Last contender on stage was Charity Ann Amit from Lapu Lapu City Cebu. Charity is a singer and performer and has gigs in hotels. Charity sang “A Natural Woman” by Aretha Franklin. She had to stop school to support her other brother and sisters. Hurado K Brosas said her song demanded more power. The judges noticed Charity wasn’t able to showcase her voice. Hurado Yeng advised Charity to be more confident and gave her a tips.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Tuesday Daily Winner

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Tuesday daily winner is Froilan Canlas garnering an average score of 94.4 percent. Froilan sang “Lost Stars” by Adam Levine to battle new defending champion Rommel Collao. Rommel sang “Always” by Bon Jovi.

Froilan Canlas won over Rommel Collao with average score or 94.6 percent.
