POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG RECAP: Irra Cenina remains as Tawag Ng Tanghalan’s defending champion. On Tawag Ng Tanghalan November 16 episode, he won over Wednesday daily winner Carla Mae Emfermo with an average score of 93.2 percent.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan November 16 Performances

First on stage was 22-year-old Keachelle Ramirez from Bulacan. She is a band vocalist. Her inspiration for music is Hurado Yeng Constantino. Keachelle sang Celine Dion’s “Immortality.” Hurado Nyoy Volante said it was an ‘almost great’ performance. He said Keachelle just has to push more. Hurado Billy Crawford said she started strong but she had flat notes in some parts of the song.

Second contender was Carla Mae Emfermo from Leyte. The 19-year-old sang “Huwag Mo Akong Iwan Magi-sa” by Angeline Quinto. She hopes to win Tawag Ng Tanghalan and help her family further fix her home which was destroyed by Typhoon Yolanda. Hurado Rey Valera said he liked her voice most especially when there were no effects used.

Last contender was 56-year-old farmer Eddie Flores. He is very passionate about his love for his wife. He shared how he once saved her from the war once before. Eddie sang “Green Green Grass of Home.” Hurado K Brosas and Hurado Jaya noticed he was a bit nervous but they both liked his voice and his performance.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Wednesday Daily Winner

Wednesday daily winner is Carla Mae Emfermo with an average score of 92 percent. Carla sang “Salamat” by Yeng Constantino. Defending champion sang “Hanggang” to battle daily winner Carla.

Irra Cennina remains Tawag Ng Tanghalan’s defending champion garnering an average score of 93.2 percent.

 

Tawag Ng Tanghalan airs every Monday to Saturday, 2:00 p.m. on ABS-CBN.
