POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG RECAP: On Tawag Ng Tanghalan November 17 episode, defending champion Irra Cenina takes on new challengers. On Wednesday’s episode, Irra won over daily winner Carla Mae Emfermo with an average score of 93.2 percent. On this episode, Irra remains as Tawag Ng Tanghalan’s defending champion. This is his fourth win.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan November 17 Performances

First contender was 29-year-old Rico Samonte from Laguna. Rico is a graphics designer. He and his wife are singers. He sang “Kung Mawawala Ka” by Olgie Alcasid. Hurado Jaya said song choice was ‘a simple love song.’ She advised him to be more confident and communicate more with the audience. Hurado Nyoy said generally he had a ‘clean’ performance.

Next on stage was Rigel Piojo from Negros Occidental. Rigel is a seaman. He helps his mother sell ‘ulam’ to make ends meet. He joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan hoping to be like his idol, Martin Nievera. Rigel sang Martin Nievera’s version of “The Promise.” Hurado Rey Valera said he had a wide voice range and good diction as well.

Last contender was ‘cook-singero’ Juvanie Sanchez. Juvanie is a famer and a cook. He prepares meals for almost 300 airplane passengers. He wants to help restore his home if he wins the competition. Juvanie sang “All My Life” by America. Hurado Billy Crawford liked how he was so ‘cool’ and relaxed during his performance. Hurado Kyla said he exudes good vibes except for the ‘awkward’ hand gestures. She advised him to practice more.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan #ShowtimeThurrificSurprises Thursday Daily Winner

Rigel Piojo is Thursday daily winner with an average score of 91 percent. Rigel sang “Say That You Love Me” to battle Irra Cenina. Three-time Defending champion Irra sang “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” to try to keep his place.

Irra Cenina won today’s battle garnering an average 93.8 percent.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan airs every Monday to Saturday, 2:00 p.m. on ABS-CBN.
