POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG RECAP: On November 18 Tawag Ng Tanghalan episode, Irra Cenina tries to make it to his fifth win. A few steps closer to making it into to the semi-gran finals. He won over Thursday daily winner Rigel Piojo on November 17 with an average score of 93.2 percent. On November 18, Friday daily winner Yvette Celoso beat 4-time defending champion Irra Cenina with an average score of 93.2 percent.  Yvette is now Tawag Ng Tanghalan’s new defending champion.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan November 18 Performances

First contender on stage was 40-year-old Stephanie Bueno from Antipolo City. Stephanie looks after a boutique by day. By night, she is a singer and entertainment manager. Stephanie sang “Straight from the Heart.” She started strong but she wasn’t able to reach the last high note. She said she had a bit of a sore throat. Hurado Karylle said she liked her confidence and her fighting spirit. Karylle also loved her voice quality and song choice. Hurado Nyoy said her voice was unique, effective and he loved it.

Second contender was Yvette Celoso from Cebu. She is 17 years old taking up BS Information Technology. Yvette joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan hoping to pay for her tuition. She sang “My All” by Tony Braxton.Hurado Rey Valera said her low notes were good and effortless in the high notes.

Last contender on stage was Wilma Malinaw from Davao. Wilma sang “Isag Linggong Pag-ibig.” Hurado Mitoy congratulated her for doing a good job. He said ‘plakado’ saying her voice was just like Imelda Papin. Hurado Yeng agreed with Hurado Mitoy and said it was rare to find singers like her.   

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Friday Daily Winner

Yvette Celoso is Friday daily winner garnering an average score of 91.6 percent. Yvette sang “Narito Ako” by Regine Velasquez to battle Irra Cenina. Four-time defending champion Irra sang “All I Ask” by Adele.

Yvette Celoso is the new defending champion garnering an average score of 93.2 percent.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan airs every Monday to Saturday, 2:00 p.m. on ABS-CBN.
