Tawag Ng Tanghalan sa Showtime Quarter four gets better and better. On November 1, defending champion Carlmalone beat Tuesday daily winner Ken Mariscal with an average score of 94.6 percent. Carlmalone Montecido proves to be unbeatable as the show’s defending champion. Will he make it on today’s show? Or will Carlmalone give the microphone to a new contender?
Tawag Ng Tanghalan November 2 Performances
First on stage was ‘resbaker’ Micah Llona. Micah is a choir singer and a young entrepreneur. She joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan hoping to help in her family business. Micah sang “Laging Naron Ka” by Jaya. Hurado Nyoy Volante liked how Micah was in character while on stage. He said she had impressive style. Kyla said she appreciated how she retained the original version but was still able to put a little bit of variation to it.
Next on stage was ‘bangka-kaibang galing’ Shello De Castro from Luzon. She helps her family by rowing a boat or ‘bangka’ as transportation in their area in Laguna. Shello sang “Ang Buhay Ko” by Asin. Hurado Rey Valera liked her clarity, voice and stage presence.
The last contender was gospel singer Jynn Paul Bascalso from Iligan City. Jynn Paul is an “instant pancit canton” vendor. He sang “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” by Tony Benette. Hurado Yeng Constantino said she really enjoyed his performance. She added he was the most relaxed performer among the three contenders. Hurado Karylle said she was very pleased with his performance as well.

Wednesday daily winner is Shello De Castro from Luzon with an average score of 92.8 percent. Shello sang “Don’t stop Believin'” by Journey to try and grab the title from Carlmalone Montecido. To battle Shello, Carlmalone sang “Kahit Isang Saglit” by Martin Nievera.
Garnering an average score of 94.4 percent, Carlmalone Montecido keeps his place as Tawag Ng Tanghalan defending champion.
