POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG, RECAP: On Wednesday, November 2, Carlmalone proved that heart, passion and skill can overcome anything. People all over the world have been supporting the defending champion as he faces challenging contenders on the show. On November 2, Carlmalone beat daily winner Shella De Castro with an average score of 94.4 percent. His winning piece, Martin Nievera’s “Kahit Isang Saglit.” If Carlmalone wins the episode’s battle, he will make it to the semi-finals.
Tawag Ng Tanghalan November 3 Performances
First contender on stage was 25-year old Mark Neil Baigan from Navotas. Mark sang his version of the song “Ikaw.” Hurado Karylle liked his song choice and performance but commented on his breathing. Hurado Erik Santos agreed with Karylle about Mark’s breathing. He noticed that he wasn’t able to hit some notes but he said Mark has the makings of a balladeer.
Next on stage was Filipino-Japanese Yuki Ito from Bulacan. He and his mom have an online business and he wishes to contribute more and help out if he wins Tawag Ng Tanghalan. Yuki sang “Paano na Kaya” by Bugoy. Hurado Rey Valera said he is on point when it comes to timing and he was able to portray the message of the song well and didn’t care so much about what the audience thought about him on stage.
Last contender was Mark Laspiñas from Iligan City. Mark’s wife left him with their two children. He now tries to make it on the show hoping to give more to his kids. Mark sang “Paminsan Minsan” by Richard Reynoso. Hurado Rico Jay Puno said Mark was pleased with his performance. Hurado Louie Ocampo said he was able to show raw emotions in his performance but some parts were a bit too forceful.

Thursday daily winner is Mark Laspiñas with an average score of 92.4 percent. Defending champion Carlmalone Montecido sang “The Wonder of You” to battle daily winner. Mark Laspiñas is now the new defending champion garnering an average score of 92.4 percent.
