First performer was ‘singing shy girl’ Elsa Del Rosario from Paranaque City. The 24-year-old sang “Ikaw Lamang.” Her performance proved that she isn’t the shy singer she was before. Judge Jaya liked Elsa’s version, her voice control and added she was very pleasant to look at which is great. She advised Elsa to become more relaxed and to work on her breathing. Judge Karylle said her performance just missed a bit of the emotional touch.

Next on stage was Katherine Maramba. Katherine works as a Public Relations officer at a car company. Katherine sang “Oh Holy Night” because she said she already feels the Christmas season. Judge Rey Valera said Katherine’s notes were a bit flat when she tried to reach her high notes. He added he really liked her song choice because it reminds people about the message of Christmas.

Last contender on stage was 50-year-old Sotelo Abarquez. Sotelo sang a Basil Valdez hit hoping to make it for the second time. Judge K Brosas said his voice was like a mash-up of Basil Valdez and Tom Jones. Judge Nyoy Volante said Sotelo’s voice and stage presence was great.
