Rico Garcia sings “I Left My Heart In San Fransisco” by Tony Benette. Rico has been listening to Tiny Benette since he was a kids. His grandfather used to listen to his songs all the time. Rico loves the message of the song since he can relate to it very much. He worked abroad for his family and has always promised that he would be with them soon.

Head judge Gary Valenciano said that for Rico to carry a classy song and sing it in a very effective way means he not only knows the song. It proves that it is already part of his life. By singing an old hit, Gary said he brings makes classic songs fresh and new for the generation today. To that Gary gave his word of approval.

Anton Antonercruz sings “On Bended Knee” by Boyz II Men. This “crush ng bayan” loves RnB and soul. But the biggest reason why he chose this song is that he was on bended knee at one point in his life. Anton ran away from home but decided to ask his parents for forgiveness after a while.

The judges obviously enjoyed Anton’s performance with all the vocal riffs he belted out all throughout. “Very, very good!” says judge Nyoy. He added how he sees Anton as a combination of class, charm, and talent and mentioned how he did a flawless performance. Judge Billy was also amazed and Nyoy pointed out that for a RnB singer like Billy to be amazed is already a big thing. All the judges gave a standing ovation after his performance.

John Raymundo sings “A Song For You” by Donny Hathaway. At 17, John always thought Donny Hathaway’s songs were always cool for the ladies. He sang it for ladies during gigs before but never for his wife yet. John takes the opportunity on stage to sing every note for his wife. An emotional performance, indeed.

Another standing ovation from the judges! Judge Billy Crawford gave a well-deserved round of applause before he gave his comment. Billy said his performance was very risky but he gave it his all which made it a performance to remember. Billy also said he and Anton both sang a soulful song. For Billy, the difference was John had more heart and said this was his best performance yet.

Mark Michael Garcia sings “Why Do We Always Hurt The Ones We Love” by Dan Hill. The first time Mark heard this song, he immediately wanted to know who the artist was. He instantly became a fan when he knew it was Dan Hill. Love songs are something that is very close to Mark since he went through a lot when it comes to love and he knows for sure that every Filipino can relate to it. Mark showed he had much to offer as he hit that super high head tone note towards the end. What do the judges have to say about it?

Judge Yeng Constantino said Mark’s voice quality is really different and it demands attention. She added how magnetic his voice was. However, Yeng said she noticed that there was something holding him back in his performance today. Yeng thought that it affected his performance today and hoped that he would’ve given more.

Remy Luntayao sings “Crazy In Love” by Beyonce. Remy is a self-proclaimed NBSB, Naka Beyonce Since Birth. She’s loved the international singer for as long as she could remember. Remy hopes that one day she would be able to perform like her idol. Powerful singing without being weakened by her dance moves. That’s exactly what Remy did on stage! The question is, did the judges like it?

“You gave us a performance…a sassy performance,” says Judge Jaya. Jaya also said Remy has improved a lot since the first time she sang on stage. She admired her for that but unfortunately, Jaya thought her singing was sacrificed by her dancing. She wished she would’ve concentrated more on her singing. But other than that, still a good job.
