Tawag ng Tanghalan sa Showtime just keeps getting better as grand finals is fast approaching. On October 11 episode, rakista Michael Jhon Marzan won as Tuesday’s daily winner. He challenged defending champion Hazelyn Cascaño with his rendition of the song “All I Need” by Jack Wagner, but still it was no match for Hazelyn’s performance of Barbra Streisand’s “Somewhere.” Hazelyn remains the defending champion as October 12 episode unfolds new contestants. Question is, will Hazelyn keep her title?

Luzon’s challenger was first on stage. Karla Mae Custodio, a tutor from Quezon.

Karylle said Karla Mae could’ve done better if she was more comfortable with her song choice. Overall, it was fine enough for hurados Karylle and Karla Estrada.

Next on stage was fourth year college student from Visayas, Jan Sean Bacong.

Hurado Rey Valera pointed out that Noven’s version of “Malayo Pa Ang Umaga” sounded better, but Jan Sean’s version of his song “Tayong Dalawa” was not as good.

Last challenger of the day was 37-year old Bobby Arnado who sang his version of  “Delilah” by Tom Jones.

Hurado Mitoy was impressed with Bobby and Hurado Nyoy Volante was pleased at his song choice and said that he was indeed a good singer.
