On October 14 episode, Hazelyn met ‘come back’ contenders. The best of the best from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao challenged 6-time defending champion. Let’s take a look at each performers who tool the stage. Tawag ng Tanghalan October 14 Performances First on stage was Luzon’s contender, the ‘auramazing’ singer from Laguna, Francis Angelo De Jesus. As far as singing was concerned, she wasn’t super impressed. Hurado Louie Ocampo agreed to Jaya’s view and said he would’ve done better if he chose a song that was more suitable for his personality to showcase his talent. Next on stage was Rosalinda Las Piñas from Cebu. She sang Jennifer Hudson’s “And I am Telling You’ giving a powerful performance (that long note at the end, whew!). She said his voice was really good and she liked his performance. Hurado Mitoy on the other hand said that his vocal register was good but if the range went a little bit lower, Mitoy said it wasn’t that clear. Despite that, still a good performance. Tawag ng Tanghalan October 14 daily winner Rosalinda Las Piñas With an average score of 92.2 percent, Friday daily winner was Rosalinda Las Piñas. She sang the song, “Akin Ka Nalang”by Morisette Amon hoping to beat Hazel. Semi-finalist Hazelyn Cascaño battled daily winner Rosalinda with the song “Note to God” by Charice Pempengco. With an average score of 92.2 percent, Hazeyln Cascaño beats daily winner Rosalinda and remains to be Tawag ng Tanghalan’s defending champion.
