‘It’s Showtime’ is on the third day of its 7th anniversary week. On Monday, Team BillyRyan gave an interesting presentation for the show’s segment ‘Magpasikat 2016’ with a special appearance from Piolo Pascual. On Tuesday, Team VhongJhong did not disappoint giving a stunning performance with a 4d hologram giving tribute to the janitors who have been with the show for a long time.

October 19 ‘magpasikat2016’ segment was more of a variety show from hosts Jugs, Teddy, Karryle with special participation of Marielle. They performed four original songs and started a party in the studio!

Tawag Ng Tanghalan October 19 Performances

Jeramie Sanico and Anthony Rosaldo battled against each other on Tawag ng Tanghalan sa Showtime October 18 episode. Will Jeramie Sanico survive October 19 contenders? Let’s take a look.

First on stage was Michael Lim. Luzon’s contender sang “Suddenly” by Billy Ocean. His daughter lives with his wife. Unfortunately, Michael hasn’t seen them for a long time. Hurado Louie said his performance was safe and lacked a bit of impact because of projection but it came from the heart. Hurado Karla almost felt the same as Hurado Louie and just wished him luck.

Next on stage was 30- year-old Marielle Mamaclay. Marielle is not new to the entertainment industry since she and her band, 5th Gen, play for corporate events. She sang Whitney Houston’s “The Queen of the Night” and started with a powerful opera-like voice. Off-stage, she teaches voice to aspiring singers.

To judge her performance, Punong Hurado Rey Valera said she was able to show power and presence and was able to showcase different styles like pop and classical.

Last contender was resbaker Alma Mida Golosimo from Bohol. Alma is 23 years old and was on the show last March. She was back on the show trying to make it for the second time. Alma sang “You are My Song” by Regine Velasquez. Hurado Jaya said performance was good, the heart was there, she just advised her to work on her breathing and song choice.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan October 19 Daily Winner

Garnering an average of 91.8 percent, Marielle Mamaclay is Tawag ng Tanghalan’s Wednesday daily winner. To try to grab the title from defending champion Jeramie Sanico, Marielle sang “Hanggang” by Wency Cornejo.

Jeramie Sanico battled Marielle with the song “Pangarap na Bituin” by Sarah Geronimo. With an average score of 93.8 percent, Jeramie Sanico remains as defending champion. Jeramie will be back on October 20 episode of Tawag ng Tanghalan to face new contenders.

Tawag ng Tanghalan aires ABS-CBN every Monday to Saturday, 1:30 p.m.
