It portrayed a story of a boy who eventually comes out as gay. The whole performance was an entertaining mix of dance with the use of a hologram. Vice Ganda said it didn’t matter if they won the “Magpasikat 2016” competition, what matters is they were able to reach out to people, most especially the LGBT community. Tawag Ng Tanghalan October 21 Performances First on stage was ‘pamangkin of pop’ Kelly Ricafort. Hurado K Brosas said his song wasn’t in his range and it seems that he was a bit nervous and uncomfortable with his song. Sadly, Kelly is automatically disqualified. Next on stage was Angelique Perez from Luzon. The 15-year-old sang “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon.” Angelique is a Grade 10 student and hopes to help build a house for her family. Hurado Rey noted that the defending champion, Jeramie Sanico, is almost the same age as her, and gave her the heads up if ever she wins. Last contender for the day was 20-year-old Kim Mainit who sang “A Woman’s Worth” by Alicia Keys. Kim is a man but hits on high ranged songs for women and seems to nail them. Hurado Nyoy Volante liked Kim’s performance and called him a seasoned performer. Hurado Yeng said, “Ang swabe, sobrang chill mo magperform.” On a super happy note, Hurado Yeng Constantino gave her advice for every contestant changing the lyrics of her song “Ikaw.” Nice!
