Jeramie Sanico automatically makes it to the semi-finals with her recent win on Friday. On Saturday, ‘resbakers’ from the past battled to make it back on the race. Kim Mainit from Visayas won with an average score of 92.8 percent and was declared as the new defending champion.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan October 24 Performances

First on stage was accountancy student, Baby Anne Franco. Baby sang “No More Rhyme” by Debbie Gibson. Hurado K Brosas said her performance was overall good but not very clear and a bit ‘pitch-y.’ Hurado Louie Ocampo also had the same opinion with K Brosas.

Puto vendor from Pasig City, Fernando Oller, was next. Fernando sang “Hahanapin Ko” by Martin Nievera. Hurado Rey Valera said his voice was good but he lacked communication with the audience because his eyes were closed most of the time during his performance.

Last contender was ‘sexy voice’ from Davao del Norte, Hazel Mangubat. Hazel supports herself by singing for special occasions. Hazel sang “Ika’y Mahal Pa Rin” by Rockstar. The judges noticed that while Hazel was singing, her timing was off. Hazel admitted timing was really a problem for her. Hurado Mitoy said there was no problem with her voice, it was just her timing.
