Tawag ng Tangahalan October 6 Performances

First on stage, Jennie Gabriel with the song “Bukas na Kita Mamahalin” by her music Idol Lanie Misalucha. She said that whenever she sings Lani Misalucha’s songs, she feels like it is always for her. Her performance did not disappoint even with the challenging notes she had to do. To that Judge Rey Valera said “Lanie will be proud, someday ikaw ay makikilala at magiging inspirasyon sa mga nakababatang singer.”

Next on stage was Noven Belleza with the song “I Live my Life For You” from his inspiration, Firehouse. It was a very natural performance for Noven even with the high notes of the song. Noven’s girlfriend was on the show, no wonder Noven was more inspired while singing the song.

Third performer, Eumee Capile,  sang a song by her idol, Jessie J. Indeed she gave a very confident performance hitting high notes of the song “Flashlight.” Because of how she sort of danced on stage, Vice Ganda said she is the complete package and said, she is so now. Singer Kayla, one of the judges said, “Mahusay ka talaga, very powerful voice, kitang kita yung drive to win, kitang kita ko yung gigil mo para manalo. Great song choice, you brought your own essence to the song, nabibigyan mo ng sariling flavor and style yung kanta which is very good, congratulations!”

Rufino “Lucky” Robles was next. He sang Martin Nievera’s song “Ikaw ang Pangarap.” In the VTR introduction Lucky said, “Gusto ko ring maging hari ng tanghalan, maging sikat, gusto ko magkaroon ng puso sa performance tulad ng puso ng idol ko.” A flawless performance indeed! Yeng Constantino commented and said, “Ikaw sa lahat ang pinaka technical, maalaga ka sa boses mo, may control ka, bawat performance, paangant ng paangat. Sobra mo akong napahanga!” Off air, Lucky revealed that he is an avid fan of the teleserye, “Be Careful With My Heart.”

Next on stage was, Antonio Sabalza. Unlike from the other finalists, Antonio sang “Come Fly With Me”, a rather fast beat song from Frank Sinatra, his idol. He said Frank Sinatra’s songs are timeless, it’s how Antonio wants to be remembered as well. Vice asked Antonio where he would like to ‘fly’, Antonio said Baguio. They were very nostalgic remembering Ube jam and “walis” from Baguio City. Judge Mitoy said, “Sir toni wala akong masabi, respeto nalang yan, hanggang ngayon kumakanta ka parin, hanga ako dyan!”
