Tawag Ng Tanghalan Sept 14 Live Blog: Kyla Faye Pille On To Fifth Win

POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG: It is the moment of truth for defending champion Kyla Faye Pille as she now fights for that fifth win. Kyla’s win today will take her to the semifinals. Yesterday, she nabbed her fourth win beating daily winner Jeremias Lagunsad. Click here to read a recap of yesterday’s episode. Will Kyla make it to the semis?

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Sept 14 performances, daily winner, and champion

First contender from Caloocan, Ricardo Antonio, sings “Till” by Tom Jones . Ricardo joined TNT in July 2016. Unfortunately, he didn’t win but he was inspired and motivated to join again. He sings not only for himself but for his family and hopes that this time around, he would win and give his family a better life.

Judge Jaya saw how happy Ricardo was on stage. She didn’t say much but said he had a powerful performance. Judge Billy, on the other hand, said he proved he was back stronger but there are two other performers and they just have to see if he makes it.

Second contender from Bulacan, Donna Gift Ricafrente, sings “I Will Never Say Goodbye” by Martin Nievera. Donna is an insurance agent, on call wedding singer, and business woman. All this to raise her only daughter. Being a single mom is difficult but Donna does what it takes to keep a happy home.

Head judge Rey Valera enjoyed Donna’s performance and said she was indeed very gifted. He said her voice was effortless and said she gave a very emotional performance. Her soft tones were a strength she can use to her advantage. He also said she has what it takes to make it on TNT.

Third contender from Bukidnon, Ato Arman sings “To Love Somebody” by Michael Bolton. Ato is a father who works as a band vocalist by night. By day, he runs a small business sharpening blades and other tools for carpenters. Ato is also a song writer. He joined TNT on November 2016, won as daily winner, but didn’t beat the defending champion then. Just like the first contender, he hopes he makes it this time around.

Judge Ogie Alcasid said, “You are so good.” He said Ato’s voice is bigger and stronger than Michael Bolton. Judge Gary added he loved his performance as well. Judge K Brosas also said she was impressed how simple his vocal riffs were but gave a spot on performance.

TNT Sept 14 daily winner, face-off, and champion. Thursday daily winner winning with an average score of 94 percent is Ato Arman.

For the face-off, Ato took on another Michael Bolton song, “Said I Love You But I Lied.” Four-time defending champion Kyla Faye Pille, on the other hand, sang “Don’t Rain On My Parade.” While Kyla was performing, the judges were in on a discussion. A very deep discussion. It seems like they have a hard decision to make. This is Kyla’s chance to make it to the semis. Will the judges give it to her? Or will they give a second chance to Ato.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan Sept 14 champion garnering an average score of 95.2 percent is Ato Arman. This is the end for Kyla’s four streak win.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan airs Mondays to Saturdays on ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime at noon.
