POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG: Five-time defending champion now semi-finalist Paolo Anton Antenorcruz is on to his sixth win on Tawag Ng Tanghalan Sept 25 episode. On Saturday, Anton nabbed his fifth win making it to the semifinals as he beat Saturday daily winner Rey Cinco. Anton is pushing through in the competition and will try to get that sixth win today. Will he succeed?

Evelyn Cinco from Cavite sings “Katarungan” by Imelda Papin. Evelyn joined TNT in Sept 2016. She won as daily winner, didn’t get the title but went home with Anne Curtis’ gift, a Karaoke machine. Evelyn comes back on the TNT stage hoping to win. This is for her dream and for her son who suffers from anxiety attacks. She also hopes to use what she could win to buy a service for her karaoke machine and start a small business.
Judge Louie Ocampo loved Evelyn’s look and performance. He loved her natural husky powerful voice. Judge Rico Jay Puno also loved her performance and said she had really good voice control.
Bryan Dolendo from Negros Occidental sings “Let Me Be The One” by Jimmy Bondoc. Bryan dreams of becoming an architect and a famous singer someday. He is a member of the choir and theater group in school. He now tries his luck on a bigger stage hoping that this would jumpstart his career in singing.
Head judge Rey Valera liked Bryan’s laid back style in singing but had a bit of issue with his falsetto voice.
Kimberly Codilla from Lanao del Norte sings “The Hills Are Alive” from the musical Sound Of Music sang by Julie Andrews. Kimberly stays with her aunt in Muntinlupa City and is studying to become a policewoman someday. It’s her aunt who puts her through school with the help of her sponsor from Australia. This doesn’t stop her from selling street foods with her aunt and sell graham balls for extra income for her allowance. This is Kimberly’s first try in a singing contest thanks to her friends who heard her and encouraged her to try.
Judge Mitoy said Kimberly’s song choice was a very bold move and said she did a good job singing it. Judge Nyoy, a theater performer as well, said she was able to sing it well but said it needed more polishing in sustaining the notes and tempo.

Evelyn Cinco took on Eva Eugenio singing “Saan Ako Nagkamali” while semi-finalist Paolo Anton Antenorcruz sang “Say That You Love Me” by Martin Nievera.
Who wins this battle? The judges have decided. TNT Sept 25 champion winning with an average score of 94 percent is Paolo Anton Antenorcruz. This is Anton’s sixth win.
