Yesterday, Christine impressed the judges singing “Don’t You Remember” by Adele beating daily winner Roy Romulo who sang a Lionel Richie hit. Tawag Ng Tanghalan Sept 29 contenders, daily winner, and champion

Caila Nicole Raquion from Albay sings “Masterpiece” by Jessie J. Caila joined TNT last season. She got good reviews from the judges that time saying she had a powerful voice and had good vocal control. Thanks to fans in social media, she was encouraged to join again. Caila comes back singing a Jessie J hit giving it all she’s got.

Judge Billy Crawford said Caila’s voice was very versatile and said she really was a good singer. He said she had command on stage and came back stronger and better. Judge Yeng loved Caila’s energy on stage and said she was impressed by her performance.

Remy Luntayao from Negros Occidental sings “Rolling On The River” by Tina Turner. Remy comes from a family of singers. Her brothers, sisters and nieces all have the innate talent. Singing is more than just a passion for Remy, it’s what helps her family and most especially her mom who suffers from stage 5 chronic kidney disease. This win means a more comfortable life for her whole family so Remy sang her heart out dedicating every note to her mom.

The judges really enjoyed Remy’s performance. Judge Rey Valera himself stood up to give a standing ovation after her performance together with judge Yeng. Judge Rey was really impressed with Remy’s performance saying he used her talent and her appeal on stage and said she did a great job.

Jennifer Magsayo from Iligan City sings “Help” by Bonnie Taylor. If there’s a group of tough moms out there, Jennifer would definitely be one of them. Jennifer is a mother of three and is separated with her husband. Both wanted custody of their three kids and things got really complicated and Jennifer ended up in jail for three years. Her ex husband made it look like Jennifer was an abusive mom saying she would give them poison. Long story short, she was proven to be innocent and was set free last year. Jennifer sings for a her three kids who are now with her.

Judge Nyoy was impressed with how she was able to use her voice nuances to her advantage. Judge Ogie said her voice was more fit for folk, country, or ballad songs compared to rock songs.

Tawag Ng Tanghalan daily winner, face-off, and champion. Tawag Ng Tanghalan daily winner garnering an average score of 94.6 percent is Remy Luntayao.

“Queen of The Night” by Whitney Houston was Remy’s song for the face-off. This daily winner made sure she showed the judges what she can do belting out those low and high notes with much energy. Two-time defending champion Christine Feliciano, on the other hand, sang “Minsan Lang Kita Mamahalin” by Regine Velasquez.

TNT Sept 29 champion garnering an average score of 94.8 percent is new defending champion Remy Luntayao.
