Contender Jake Bryan Sante from Pangasinan sings “One Last Cry.”  Jake comes from a broken family. His mom worked as a domestic helper in Lebanon since 2009 and eventually had a family of her own abroad. He now lives with his dad who works as a tricycle driver. He helps make ends meet through working as a waiter for a catering service and also sings for events.

Judge Louie Ocampo noticed how nervous Jake was. He listened on but then signaled for the gong before the chorus. Judge Louie and K Brosas said Jake chose a difficult song because of so much vocal riffs. They also noticed he wasn’t comfortable and wished he chose a different song. Jake is automatically disqualified but he didn’t go home empty handed. Vice Ganda and Vhong offered to take care of his fare to Lebanon to see his mother while madlang people and judges chipped in for his pocket money.

Contender May Obando from Ormoc Leyte sang “Help” by The Beatles. May’s voice has brought her to different places. She’s joined contests in Cebu, Manil, Batangas, Bulacan, and Pampanga. Winning contests is how she helps her husband who sells different aquarium fishes for a living. She hopes joining TNT would help their business and family.

Judge Louie Ocampo called her performance safe but said she did a good job.

Contender Arnel Rosal from Iligan sings “Kailangan Kita” by Gary Valenciano. Arnel is a dad who works as a housekeeper for a hotel in Makati. He has been singing since he was young. His wife sells ice cream products at the mall. They both want nothing but the best for their family. Despite their hard work, they make time to spend quality time together through a walk in the park or through videoke.

Judge Nyoy said he liked Arnel’s performance but had a thing or two to say about Arnel’s voice technique. He said it would’ve been better if he sang through his diaphragm and not through his nasal tone. But all in all, still a very good performance says Nyoy.
