Tawag ng Tanghalan winner Noven Belleza

Noven Belleza of Negros Occidental won the first season of ABS-CBN’s Tawag Ng Tanghalan sa Showtime. The Visayan balladeer got an average score of 99.96 percent from the show’s hurados and public voters. Noven performed Air Supply songs in the final round. Belleza won a recording contract, two million pesos and a house and lot. He also gets to take his family for a vacation as part of his winnings.

Noven Belleza Harvests Tanghalan Victory

The first winner of Tawag ng Tanghalan was among the third quarter finalists of the competition. Noven Belleza, a farmer, said he wants to inspire everyone. Regardless of their status in life, he says, everyone can reach their dreams if they work towards achieving it.

In the first round of the ultimate grand finals episode, Noven Belleza sang May Bukas Pa of Rico J. Puno, one of the hurados of the grand finals. After making it to the Final 3, Noven sang a medley of Air Supply songs, culminating with Can’t Live Without You.

Froilan Canlas, Sam Mangubat, Carlmalone Montecido, Pauline Agupitan and Marielle Montellano are also in the Top 6 of the competition. Noven, Sam and Froilan made it to the Final 3.

Froilan Canlas from Camarines Sur finished as third placer, while Sam Mangubat of Batangas City won second place.

The first season of Tawag Ng Tanghalan Sa Showtime aired daily and ran for over a year. The Kapamilya noontime show will launch the Kids Edition on Monday, with Charice as special guest.
