WATCH: Bette Midler, Charlie Puth, Joan Jett and Sammy Hagar talk about giving advice to The Voice contestants via the official Youtube channel of ‘The Voice’ Charlie Puth mentors Team Alicia, opening with ‘Hello’ by Adele Christian Cuevas and Jason Warrior start the night with a powerful performance of Adele’s “Hello.” Alicia decided to pair them up because they know how to belt and are able to bring out their own spice and individuality to the song. Alicia gave notes and segments to each singer allowing them to fully express themselves in utter uniqueness. While training with Charlie Puth, Christian and Jason raised the bar that night. When it came down to the decision, Alicia chose Christian because of his sense of vulnerability. Team Adam instantly called for a steal for Jason as his second chance to bring Jason on board. Back at the blinds, it was Adam who turned for Jason first. It seemed unfair at first for Natasha, daughter of TV star Candace Cameron Bure because Riley is more of the crooner compared to her. However, the chemistry between Natasha’s dynamic performance and Riley’s old school pitch made ‘Cry Me a River’ the best song choice for them. When it was time to make a decision, Adam chose Riley over Candace because there are not many old school crooners that are on-point at these times. Old school is definitely back. WATCH: ‘Cry Me a River’ by Natasha Bure and Candace Cameron Bure Team Miley rocked the house with mentor Joan Jett Talk about girl power! Ali Caldwell and Courtnie Ramirez raise the roof in their performance of ‘Hit or Miss’ by Odetta. With such an impressive match, Carson calls their battle as “a clinic for our new coach on the perfect battle round.” With Ali’s technical skill as a performer and Courtnie’s rocker chic “pizzaz”, that was one performance to remember. Ultimately, Miley chooses Ali but Courtnie gets a steal from both Alicia and Blake. With all the lines about Courtnie being as “plucky as a rooster,” Blake loses the steal battle to Team Alicia. Alicia is overjoyed because she has already believed in Courtnie since the blinds. WATCH: Ali Caldwell and Courtnie Ramirez perform “Hit or Miss” Bette Midler is Team Blake’s mentor Dan Shafer and Sundance Head leave everything on the stage with their take on “Feel Like Making Love” by Bad Company. As they were rehearsing, Bette Midler advices Dan to open his eyes while singing and to show some spunk as he experiments in his runs. As for Sundance, Blake is perfectly fine with how Sundance “scream-sings” without causing any angst at all. At the end of that round, Sundance takes the win.
